New House - Blackhall Lane, Sevenoaks, Kent

In the years between the First and Second World Wars a large portion of land on the Wildernesse Estate to the south of Wildernesse House was divided into large building plots.

This design was for a site that was to be created by subdividing one of those plots.

Whilst planning permission was granted, the project failed to come to fruition because its development would have contravened the restrictive covenants that exist on the estate.

The illustrations show alternatives for walls of either stone or brick.
